Our Story

Pedaling Bear began over two years ago, with the idea to create a classic, elevated shirt that was comfortable enough for everyday life and timeless enough to never go out of style. With that in mind, we created a quality apparel brand built around simplicity, sustainability and comfort.

Our shirts are made from 100% Pima cotton, chosen for its exceptional softness, durability, and natural feel. We wanted to create something different from the tight performance shirts that dominate the market. Instead, we designed a fit that is relaxed in all the right places.

The name stems from our founder Thomas who has love for biking and the outdoors. Throughout his travels, Thomas always seemed to find his way onto a bike. Whether Pedaling to work halfway across the world or riding through his own neighborhood, a bike was never simply a means of transportation. It was a way to explore, slow down, clear his head, and experience the world around him. That idea of Pedaling became bigger than the bike. To us, Pedaling represents movement. Progress. The decision to keep going, no matter what season of life you're in.

The Bear comes from a lifelong connection to the outdoors. Growing up going to the lake in the Northeastern Georgia mountains, black bears were somewhat of a common sighting. Thus the idea of the Bear was born early on and now stands as a symbol of the outdoors.

While you may not see a bicycle in our logo, you’ll find its meaning in everything we stand for. The Bear faces forward, not looking behind, but continuing onward.

With every purchase, you join a movement bigger than clothing. A percentage of our proceeds are donated to Meals on Wheels to help those in need, ensuring that comfort and care extend far beyond the cotton. By giving back, Pedaling Bear aims to help and touch as many lives as possible to provide those in need with more than the “Bear” necessities in life.

So here’s to a brand, a lifestyle rather, that doesn’t chase everybody else. Be comfortable in what you wear, so you can focus on being the best version of yourself. Find your comfort, wear the bear, and go beyond.

Cheers,

Thomas and Maggie
